Base coat for the Sisters

I have spent many hours today doing the red base paint and decided to do the flesh on one of the sisters, woh is me. ;p

While doing the base coat for these figures I came to relize that most people are going to focus on the skin coat. So I tried to make that as smooth as possible with very wet paint and lots of applications. Anywhere that is black with spills of flesh color, don't worry that will all be fixed when I paint those sections.

The next step is to paint all remaining 9 of the sisters in this way! :) At the moment the blue base coat is done on all 9 and the red is done on three of them. The pictures below are the first and only with the flesh base coat as well as the blue and red.

Please keep in mind that these are very detailed pictures and in real life are quite small. Small errors in painting I will be trying to fix up before doing the highlighting.

Just as a side note: These pictures are far more detailed then I can see. They are helping me to find errors and spill overs in the paint job. I am pondering setting up some kind of webcam zoomed in on a portion of the desk so while painting I can put the figure in the video area and look at in on the monitor while rotating it spotting any errors.

So on with the pics!

Greetings

Hello everyone,

This will be my Warhammer Blog. A friend of mine told me of what he does for his warhammer figures and I thought - Hey I can do that too!

So let the postings begin!

Here is the first round of paint on the Sisters of Repentia. The base spray has been applied and the first base coat of blue has been put onto the boots, armor, and small bits of cloth tied in various places.
